I like this new tool you put in Scott. Your really coming along with your software.
Saw the new Solid Simulation too. Your definitely working hard over there.![]()
The first beta version of v2.07 is ready for testing!
These beta versions are for testing only and are intended to help us work out problems before updates are released. To download, go to www.ncplot.com and click the NCPlot v2 link.

NCPlot v2.07 beta 1 Release Notes

Bug Fixes
=========
Backslash characters "\" were being removed from the edit file, this is fixed.
Hopefully fixed the issue with toolbars not restoring to their saved locations. Let us know if you still have problems with this.
The auto radius and auto chamfer commands ",r ,c" were not working under lathe configurations, this has been fixed.
The saved variable state was overriding the machine configuration's work offset settings, this is fixed.
Tools
=====
There is a new translation tool called MultiStep Translate. This tool is found under Tools / MultiStep Translate which opens the translation dialog to the MultiStep tab. This tool allows you to make multiple translated copies of selected portions of your programs. You can perform up to 4 translations which can then be repeated up to 99 times. To use this tool:
1. On the MultiStep tab use the checkboxes to enable up to 4 translations.
2. Next to the checkboxes select the translations you want to be performed. The translations are applied in order from top to bottom.
3. Enter the number of repetitions. All the selected translations will be performed this number of times.
4. Use the other tabs on the translation dialog to setup the individual translations.
5. On the MultiStep tab, click the "Translate" button. If text is selected the translations are applied to the selected text and then inserted immediately after. If no text is selected they are applied to the whole program and then inserted at the end.
Enjoy!

A simple test in NC Plot V2.07b1 of a previous part. It came out good but the processing was a little long.
The Program length probably had something to do with this but all in all no problems detected.
Looking good so far Scott![]()

Thanks Toby, let me know if you have any problems.
Scott
Still playing with this and about 3 other things at the same time. Never enough time in a day
I will try a few simple 4th axis indexing parts and play around with the Machine Set up. I might have some time to do a few sub-programs too.
After those maybe start playing with the new translation tool called MultiStep Translate.
Cheers!!!![]()

Scott,
When do you plan to update the 3D connexion support?
In the beta, I notice these problems exist (also reported on 2.06):
1) NCPlot has motions hard coded; does not pay attention to 3d connexion control app - i.e. if you swap actions vs control motion (like I do for zoom) ncplot does not change.
This means that ncplot work differently thatn all the other apps that I use space navogator with - hard to deal with when goign between app windows.
2) translate motions work, but none of the rotate motions work.
Dave
Dave,
I wasn't aware that you couldn't change the functions through the 3d connexion control panel, I think this should work but I'll check on it.
The rotation works only in the isometric view. Plus NCPlot always keeps the Z axis vertical, so the rotation is somewhat limited.
Scott
Toolbar positions fixed.
They now do as they're told!
Cheers,
Terry
