    Macro Translator

    Hi Scott,
using the "Holes on arc"-Macro for example creates new lines with X- and Y-coordinates.
If I want to have a subprogram-call at each position I add manually the line P#### M98 after each coordinate.
So I added the variable #50 to the dialog and in the macro after the line X#32 Y#33 the text P O#50 M98 to let the macro create the subprogram-call.

But the macro translator comes up with error messages :
    wrong expression or unknown subprogram

Is there a way to let a macro write text into the main program like I described ?

    Thank you,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

There's no way to do this at the moment. I do have some changes planned for the macro translator that I wanted to include in the next update. This includes the ability to insert whatever text you want. This will be good for adding comments or other miscellanous code just like you describe.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
I found a way to handle this problem meanwhile:

in the macro after the line X#32 Y#33 I add the line X9999 and with search & replace I can change it in the main program to P9999 M98 for example

    Thank you,

    Richard

    Hi Scott,

could you add the ability to show an individual small drawing to each macro as graphical support to what the macro is asking for ?

    Thank you,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

I actually did have this in there during most of the beta process. But it didn't get finished in time for release, so I removed it. All the code is still there, I just need to finish the graphics and re-enable it.

    Thanks,
    Scott
