NCPlot v2.0 Release Candidate 3 Release Notes
    November 21, 2006

    Bug Fixes

The ASIN macro function was not working, this is fixed.

Helical arcs were not plotting properly when at a 4th axis position other than 0.0, this is fixed.

Fixed an error that occurred when a G-code greater than 99 was designated as a macro G-Code in the machine configuration.

    General

Added support for negative GOTO block numbers. A negative block number will cause NCPlot to search backwards from the current block towards the beginning of the program. Note that the renumbering tool does not yet handle negative block references, this is still in the works.

Added warning messages that indicate when a feed motion is commanded while the commanded feedrate is zero or the spindle is not running. These messages can be turned on and off on the Preferences dialog window.

NCPlot will now ignore the macro keywords "POPEN", "PCLOS", "DPRNT" and "BPRNT". These commands do not do anything within NCPlot, but you will now be able to plot programs containing these keywords without errors.

The Help menu items "NCPlot on the Web" and "Ordering NCPlot" will now open with your default browser instead of specifically using Internet Explorer.

    Scripting

    Added three new script functions:

NCPSelectAll This function will select the entire program contents.
NCPGetAll This function returns the entire program contents as a string.
NCPGetSelected This function returns the selected portion of the program as a string.

    DXF Importing

Added support for bulge arcs in LWPOLYLINE entities. The bulge values were being ignored, this results in straight lines where arcs should be.

    Thanks,
    Scott

The NCPlot v2 Release Candidate 3 installer has been updated!!

The original installer does not reset the trial license, so if you've downloaded it already, please re-download and re-install.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Scott,

The latest install has a problem with the shortcut for the help file in the NCPlot Program Group.

It's not pointing to the 'Manuals' sub-folder of NCPlot.

Hmmm.... I don't know what happened there. I haven't changed anything that would have caused that, but I'll have a look anyway.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Not sure if this is a bug or something I'm doing wrong. Trying to import a dxf file. I get a bunch of orange arcs. I've attached a graphic of the viewport. The dxf is to large to attach.

You might try, open the dxf (like in the screenshot), then convert the dxf to g-code (inside NcPlot), then after the conversion, click on one of the orange arcs and backtrack the g-code to see whats going on?

Check the header of the g-code, I ran into a similar problem (not that many arcs) a while back. Something was wrong with the dxf.

They are converted to G03's. My cad programs handle them ok. Watching the animation, it seems after a segment is drawn, them an arc is created from the beggining of the segment to the end of the segment.
