Download NCPlot at: www.ncplot.com NCPlot v2.0 Release Candidate 2 Release Notes October 15, 2006 General Added support for negative GOTO block numbers. The NCPlot installer will now add shortcut menus to BobCAD if you have this product installed on your computer. These menus will appear in the BobCAD main CAD and NC menu bars and will allow you to quickly open NCPlot. Calc Tools Improvements have been made to the Calc "Offset" tool. Offsetting will now be perfomed separately on each selected group of connected entities, stopping at unselected entities. Joining of the offset geometry works much better. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug in the handling of G98 - G99 during canned cycles. The part info window showed the X axis extents in radius values for lathe, even when diameter was selected. This is fixed. The Save As dialog was not adding the ".NC" extension to the filename when this type was selected. This is fixed. NCPlot would crash if the active config file could not be located on startup, this is fixed. There have been some bug fixes to the handling of the Lathe canned cycles G70 - G73. If the G-Code program did not have block numbers other than the canned cycle start and end blocks, NCPlot would not plot or renumber the program correctly. Thanks, Scott |

| MetLHead, Fantastic program! Great when used as a stand-alone application or as a companion to Mach 2/Mach 3 and whatever CAM program is being used to generate the g-code. About NCPlot v2.0 Release Candidate 2, I've been all over your website and can only find http://www.ncplot.com/ncplotv2/NCPlotV2_RC1.exe. Do you have it hidden somewhere, or, haven't you updated your website yet? Thanks, Keep up the good work,

| Anyone else having this problem? Close the NCPlot.com window or tab and clear your web browsers cache. Wait until the cache is cleared and then browse back to www.ncplot.com for NCPlot v2.0 Release Candidate 2. Already have a previous version of NCPlot? Go and get the latest release. Downloaded NCPlot and haven't used it? Shame on you. Redeem yourself and check it out. NCPlot definitely rates as a "Cool Tool"!!! Don't have a copy of NCPlot, yet? What are you waiting for???

| Hi Turner, There's no function for doing that yet. Right now,you can only retrieve individual lines: MaxLines=ncplot.ncpgetnumlines '// Get number of lines in file For LineCount=1 to MaxLines '// Setup loop LineText=ncplot.ncpgetline(LineCount) '// Get current line '// Do something here Next LineCount Adding a function to retrieve the entire file is no problem. Let me know if there are any other functions you would like added. Thanks, Scott |

| I really like this tool, and the more I use it the more questions it answers for me. I decided to do an unistall of the previous version, and it told me I used it frequently. I don't see that on very many installed tools of mine.

Hi again Scott, I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow have an option in NCPlot to do some basic checks on the program like if a feed move has been programmed without a feedrate or is the spindle on when feed moves. This has come to mind as we have recently had a BUMP on one of our m/c's due to a few different programs being pasted together and a feed in mm/min was encountered while the spindle was not running.Although feed in mm/min is accepted as being fine, in this particular case the spindle should have been on. If we run the prog through NCPlot it could maybe give a list of potential mistakes like this. Thanks Turner |
