Enhancement - G41 Tool comp alarm

Hi Scott,
New year so new request!

Tool comp (G41) machine alarm regularly catches me out...
When I post a profile using offset and the tool rad is bigger than the component rad, the machine throws a CRC Interference alarm (fanuc).

We program with the tool rad at the start of the tool, within a G10 line ie:-

G10 G90 L12 P3 R6.

Is it possible to implement a checking feature so when the program file loads into NCPlot, it also scans to see that if a G41 is called, then any G3 R value is bigger than the G10 line R value?
I suppose for the instances where the operation may have mixed code (ie centreline and offsett called within the same tool call), the scan/search would have to be within the G41 to G40 range?

Does it make sense as I feel I'm rambling...

Cheers,
Terry

Scott i also have a feature request. A log file for dnc transmit maybe a monthly or weakly log to list all files transmitted through NcPlot it would help track jobs on the shop floor thanks

G10 Tool Rad Checking

Hi terry, are you only doing inside (bore) work. I ask as the above quote asks to check G3. Or do you need to check G2 also-the later being more difficult as program would have to check direction of travel. I have written some scripts at our work to do checks of various things that ncplot cant yet handle. You can run them from the script button on the toolbar. I also produce toolsheets from script too, it reads the file line by line and gets the tool numbers then i have information on the tool number inserted into a text file. Scripts can be quite useful when you get into them. With a bit of thought you could make them check numerous things.
Keith.

I do have cutter comp support on my list. I've done some work on this and it's in there as the Calc/Offset tool. It needs to be improved and then implemented for G41/G42.

I've added DNC logging to my list.

Thanks,
Scott

Sorry Keith, didn't mean to ignore you there! Thanks for the suggestions.
Yes, on thinking about it, it would be handy to be able to check external profiles as well.
Hopefully Scott will be back in the thick of it soon.
Cheers
