    NCPlot v2 Beta 8

NC Plot v2 Beta 8 is now available for download.

    available at:
    http://home.wmis.net/~smartinz/softw...2/ncplotv2.htm

    New for Beta 8:
The plot controls are now all functional:
Animate - Draws the program with a settable delay between steps.
Pause - Halts the program animation. Press animate again to resume, or you can step forward / backward from the stopped point.
Step forward - Draws the next step in the program.
Step backward - Un-draws a step in the program.
Plot - Refreshes the viewport from the current contents of the program.
Plot to Cursor - Draws the program up to the line in the program that the cursor is on.
Plot from Cursor - Draws the program from the cursor location to the end of the program.

Pan and rotate are now dynamic. You can now also zoom / rotate / pan while stepping the program.

The highlight tool has been removed from the menu, this function is now always active. Left-clicking the viewport selects the nearest object and displays its properties in the status bar. This works OK for the top and bottom views, but it needs work yet for the other views.

Select All, Find Next and Replace have been added to the Edit menu.

I've added a popup menu to the program window. Right-click the program window for quick access to the Edit menu.

I've added a Draw menu item called Show Ticks. When enabled you will see small boxes marking the endpoint of rapid moves.

I reduced the size of the icons, I like the new smaller ones better.

I've also updated the Quick Start Manual. This can be accessed through the Help menu.

    Comments or suggestions please ...

    Thanks,
    Scott

Thumbs up Will Spend Some Time...

with NC Plot beta 8 this week. Just took a quick look. I again see *major progress* taking place. Sorry I did not get to this last week. Were slammed with work and I have been spending most of my time on setups and helping out running jobs.

Any idea what NC Plot will sell for ?

It would be nice to see more BobCAD-CAM users participating in the beta of NC Plot as BobCAD-CAM backplotting is IMO not very good and that's being kind. Perhaps I should mention NC Plot as an alternative in the BobCAD-CAM Forums and else where. I figure the more feedback you get here the better.

    Jon,

Thanks for all your feedback, you've helped nudge me along. So far, CNCZone has been my only outlet for NCPlot. That's going to change soon though, and hopefully will result in more feedback. As far as pricing goes, I've got a target price of $100 per license with discounts for multiple or site licenses.

    Thanks,
    Scott
