3D violin

I had a chance to take a photo of a violin I designed last year wanted i show it off here. It's a bit alien looking it think.

Violin body is hollow approximately 1/8 thick with a pizeo pickup and ebony finger board..

Yes i do play violin for about 20 years now, but not very good.

I was wondering how it compares with more typical violins as far as tonal quality. Does the unusual shape cause any issues with playing it? Is it constructed like a two piece clam shell from CNC carvings? I know nothing at all about violins myself. This one has raised some questions though.

question: the circle scoring around the bridge, it that for allowing vibration, or just looks?

The shape seems to work and yes its a clam shell design carved to about 3/16 thick.

Thanks for the soundbite! I have a decent enough sound system on my computer but it probably doesn't hold a candle to what it sounds like in a studio setting. Very nice.
