| Ok so i know that there are probably hundreds of threads regarding the les paul and other guitar’s plans. But I can never find the whole thing just always bits and pieces, I am new to CNC but I am also willing To contribute I did not just join so I can leech hours of effort, I have a lot of files that can help you guys tremendously But I for one cant make proper use of them just yet, I am completely new to the CAD CAM industry but so far I have Learnt A LOT. Ive been in it for about 5 months now, straight outa high school. Ive got a job as a junior draughtsman, so Yea im a quick learner. I am using solid works and would really really like a solid works les paul 59 complete, if this is asking too much then ive Got amazing info (dwg files, pdf’s, pictures etc) that you can check out to help you make it. I also have a completely fail les paul on solid works (which I can upload as proof that im actually trying) because I am quite new. All help will be appreciated and im willing to help you in any way I can. Will post some more helpful info as above mentioned tommorw after I put it all together. EDIT : i am using solidworks 2008 BTW Thanx GriMbo |

| Hey liquid i did not start the thread to be told its not hard, i need help, i am 18 but learning quick, ive only been in this for a few months and am willing to learn and share. What i do at work is sheet metal, i do safes, from scratch. but i am also very good at sourcing info from the net, so if i want this thread to progress im willing to put in some effort. even if i have to post my models even just for fun, trying to learn solidworks. Think i should get the work to send me on a coarse, even tho im fine with the whole safes thing. But this is the wrong side of the forum for that so i dont want to upset people and bring it up here. EDIT: Thanks for your input CNC, the model looks fantastic!! and no im not starting any hate in the thread @ liquid just stating that it wasn't very helpfull. Im very passionate about my music and a les paul is my dream guitar, i play every single day for 4 hours and ive been playing for about 3-4 years now, dont have the best gear, but i really want to have my own little project that is why i want to get into this whole making things thing u know?I need the solidworks models so that i can learn more about the modeling of guitars and features i will have to use. I will then use this newly gained knowladge to model my own inventions and have them manufactured and also try make them by myself with some help ofcourse. I know this is off topic sorta but i only have a Stagg X300 and a line 6 spider 3 30W amp with a zoom g1x effects pedal. not the greatest but i play my heart out. The les paul i build is gona have EMG 81 pickups and is not going to be like my cheap stagg at all XD so anyways if you want to see the stuff i do go to www.mutualsafes.co.za or just google "safes" it will be a sponsored link and the 1st result. so if you are interested with that i could share my knowledge.
