Outsourced CNC in Australia

Hi all,

i'm very new to the CNC world but really keen to get into it!

I'm a guitar builder who stopped about 10 years ago to get a more 'responsible corporate' job..well i did that and now i'm sick of it and want to get back into guitars (lapsteels to be specific)!

Would love to buy a CNC but really need to start off with a few guitar sales first.

What my question is, is there anyone in australia i could outsource the first couple of guitars to?

I have all drawings etc almost completed, but i have been unable to find anyone in aus??

Any direction or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!

many thanks
Glenn

PS sorry if i posted in the wrong place...also new to the forum thing!!

Buy me a Beer?

Hi Glenn, and welcome to the Zone !

Have a read of the build logs here, it may inspire you to start making your own machine.

From what I imagine you need most of the hobby machines should have a large enough cutting area so someone may be able to help you out, this may be your best bet for small numbers initially. I would offer but I am still in the building phase, in fact I love building so much I have spent the last two years doing so little self sarcasm there, I hope to have things working soon.

Have you heard of the CNC BBQ this coming Saturday in Melbourne? Most of the Aussie hobby guys will be there, and a few of the professional guys as well:

Good Luck !

Russell.
