Hi,
NEWBIE
Great community here! I am at the moment a hobbyist guitar maker. By that I mean I have built a cheapo guitar kit, and now I am in the process of building a better guitar from a custom body I bought... I am a designer by profession and naturally I could not resist designing my own solidbody guitars.
I want to make my designs a reality, but investing $5,000 in a CNC router is not really in the cards for me. Also I live in a small apartment and I do not have the space for this.
My designs are straightforward bolt on necks. I would purchase the neck from a Warmoth or other quality manufacturer. I cannot even fathom fabricating a neck on my own.
I have created accurate models in Solidworks for my bodies and I would like to know if there is a CNC service that would create the bodies for me. These would be one-off guitars for my own enjoyment. What would something like this cost? The guitars are not complex and the shapes are slightly unique and easily buildable.
