Y'all, I'm trying to determine what color to paint my next Arched Wave guitar. Please take a look at the guitars below, and tell me your first 3 choices. If you don't see your personal fave, let me know what it is. ![]() Thanks a ton, Jeff (Aka Johnny501) KOZM Guitars |

| They are all a little pale for my tastes. Solid gloss black. Maybe a nice dark navy blue that's almost black until the light hits it's highlights. Dark blood red. Deep purple. If you make all your guitars light then people that like dark colours won't buy any. ![]() And like I said in your other post, why not show the beautiful wood laminations inside the guitar? Maybe stain the wood pieces before laminating then laminate in light/dark alternation (or use light/dark woods). Then a matte or satin clear over the wood like my beautiful old Washburn 5-string bass. |

| Another vote for natural wood finishes. There are lots of naturally colored woods and mixing them in tasteful laminations with clear finishes is more attractive to me. But I'm a woodholic that can't play a guitar. That skews my vote just a little. Purple heart and walnut, purple heart and maple, padauk (vermillion) and maple, would make me drool. CarveOne

Thanks for all of your input regarding color choices. Based on replies from this forum as well as elsewhere, light purple was the winner (but not by much). Maple spine, ash in the outer areas. 3 Dimarzio True Velvet pickups. 5 way selector switch. 6.5 lbs I'm planning on doing the next one in a burnt tangerine Awe Naturale. With any luck, it should be finished in early September. Stay tuned. Johnny501 KOZM Guitars Youtube |
