And finally, here it is together and ready for binding, armrest work, and lacquer. Will post finish pictures by the weekend.

Here's a few pics now that the lacquer is done. Was a good night. It took about 3 hours to level sand (600 grit) and then buff (med and super fine) the finish. I follow Robbie O'Briens finish schedule from his online course His schedule makes the final level sanding very easy.

Pictures of #12 (mostly) finished. Just need to intonate the saddle. This was an amazing setup. The frets were so flat I only need to level 2 of them, then the initial setup
came out perfect, no adjustment needed and 6/64" clearance at the 12th fret!
I have no idea why the pictures are sideways.

Here's a video of the initial string-up/play. Note to aspiring builders - initial setup never sounds this good. This thing had perfect action by pure random chance.

That is a beautiful guitar! I love your process. I have created two electric guitars on my cnc mill, at work. A Les Paul, and PRS. I have a couple of questions for you. What do you use for a vacuum pump? What do you use, cutter wise, for making fret slots? Speed and feed settings?

Thanks.
For the pump, I use the same vacuum pump I got form joewoodworker.com. Meant for doing the vacuum bagging, I just put a different type of hose on it to push into the vacuum jigs.
I use the fret cutter bits from precise bits.com ... BUT.... it is .025" bit, and I found that my slots are little too loose on the fit, so I've started using the .020" shell cutter bits to make they're snug. Maybe spindle runout causing that. I do .010" cut per pass, rather slow (whatever they're listed feed rates are). Running bout 12K rams IIRC.
Man how does this thread go without comment for 2 years!
Exquisite guitar and the presentation was excellent, thanks for all the work you put into showing your methods. 5 thumbs up.
Over here from the CNCRP forum.
Cheers
Love your designs!
