Default Buying my first CNC machine

    Hi,

What CNC machine do you guys recommend me to buy for guitar milling on a budget somewhere around 3000US?
My only preference is that I want a table big enough for one-piece guitars.

There are so many used ones around you CAN do it.
I bought a Chinese one KL-1212 used for 4K years ago
Surface is about 48x54 no problem with single piece.
    Still using it today.

You definitely want the Hiwin's instead of the round rails.

    What's yours plan?
What are you going to cut?
    Both are small machines right?
    Long term goal?

Just as a hobby, but I want it to be "semi professional"

What are you going to cut?
Mainly guitars, but it needs to handle oak (Red american and Norwegian) and ALU.

    Both are small machines right?
    600 x 1200mm / 2 x 4feet working area (1500x1200mm option), 2,2kw spindle

    Long term goal?
Have a lot of fun and make a couple of playable guitars that don't look like I made them myself:P

There's a guy in Canada I believe he's a Polish guy Who manufactures his own CNC kits they'll be half the price of what's coming through CHINA and a real good quality.
I might have found him on craigslist or on YouTube
I'll try to look up his name tomorrow when I'm back at work
But maybe go on YouTube and look up Cnc kits

Yeah, but I live in Norway and shipping from America would cost me 1000USD or more while I got containers going to and from China all the time (free transport)
I looked at the xzerocnc earlier, but freight would kill me.

    Hello Steffenland,

I don't know if you purchased a Chinese machine yet, but I am currently in the process of purchasing a machine from the Chinese company Blue Elephant. I will be posting the whole experience I had in dealing with this company shortly.
