    Default Multicam 3000 Issues

Are there any good Multicam techs here? We have a 3000 series plasma cutter with a Hypertherm HPR130HD unit on it. We are having a lot of cutting and file issues with it and to put it nicely Multicam tech support stinks.

Thanks for any help someone might be able to provide.

hey guys, im new here to this forum and dont wana start a new thread, so I'll ask my question here.

Im running a Multicam 3000 and the spindle motor is running really hot and tight. The top cooling fan is working but, I cant seem to find what the issue is here. neither do i have ANY clue as to what's wrong. but my best guess is that something is worn off in the motor and causing it to run like that.

Any kind help will be appreciated.

Bearings or motor windings maybe? Both?

You can check the amp draw on the motor wires with an amp meter. That will tell you something about the electrical condition. You can spin the spindle by hand and see if it turns freely.
