They Would like to charge me a service call to reset all 8 of the tool cradles location. $ 1500 in drive time alone. I need to find the old Cradles or someone to do the changeout in SE Mn.

Multicams dirty little secret that that used tool cradles from Biesse....and plus the Biesse tool cradles seem to hold the tool better then the ones Multicam manufactures.

Default Did you get the HSK tool holders from Biesse?

I'm a kitchen Cabinet manufacturer in Richmond BC and I have a Multicam 3000 with 2 broken tool holders as well. SpeedCab, Did you end up purchasing the replacement HSK tool holders for your Multicam from Biesse? If so, how much did it cost ya? I know ordering through Multicam is very pricey. Thanks for the info.

    Default It's a CNC Machine...

I have found with just a bit of time. A good set of Micrometers and a Multicam router. I can remake most of the Multicam consumable parts at a fraction of the cost and usually end up improving the quality as a bonus.

I used .350 ABS plastic and .100" to reproduce the Biesse tool holders. My cost $2.58 each.

I also have a SF48 with a six tool changer. I used 1" acrylic to make the tool blocks for it. Cost $1.80

I did go to MC for a replacement tool rail. My 3000 came with a flimsy aluminum "U" channel for the rail. Since then they have switched to a steel rail. This cured frustration with tools not aliening with the spindle or they're holders.

Back to the topic. If you look around, you can find most of the parts you'll need, from the vendors Multicam uses. Or use the CNC router to machine what you need.

Could send me a picture of your Tool holder? I'm having the U shade tool bar remade with Square Stock the same 2-1/2" height as the U-shape and the Same Drill pattern. Will your Tool holder fit the old Multi-Cam U shape tool Bar? Thanks Speedcab
