Hello. I am an operator in a department with five Mori Seiki NH4000 DCG's. There have been occurrences where, finished parts that have indexed around to the front get mistakenly sent right back in and ran again(dont ask me to go into detail how this happens.lol. usually new guys.lol). This ends up giving us a set of scrap parts. Is it possible to set some sort of alarm up so that the machine requires a certain amount of load while a tool is cutting? On our machines, it would be ideal to do this to an end mill that roughs early in the cycle because if a finished set just got put in, there will be zero load on that tool. Have already asked a couple guys at work about this and they have said that its possible the machines have this capability but it all depends on how many features were included in the machines when my company bought them. Any input from someone knowledgeable with these machines would be greatly appreciated.
