I was looking through the manual for MY ZL-15 with 11TT control and came across this PC parameter... MCI/F.
Set to a 1, "Macro I/F is used". Set to a 0, "Macro I/F is not used". Does anyone have any idea what this is?
I believe it means "Macro Interface Used" or "Not used".
To be able to use Macro programming variables, the correct option parameter must be enabled and then this pc parameter must be enabled also.
The value of macro programming (IMO) is for programming "families of parts" where the part geometry is essentially the same, only the part dimensions vary. (Big widget, medium widget, small widget, etc.)
Yes, I know what the Macro A and B option parameters are for the 11T control, but if I tell you, Mr. Administrator will come down hard on me.
Sometimes the option is already enabled. Turn on the "Macro Interface USED" pc parameter and then see if the variable pages appear after pressing the OFFSET screen key. If so, you're ready for Macro Programming.
