| Can someone decipher this photo Is the time in minutes hours or what? I would like to know the hours as I'm thinking of purchasing this machine. This is a nv 5000 mill with a MSG 501MB ( Fanuc 18M ) Control. |

| Appears that the units are in minutes. I threw the data into Excel and calc'd this real quick. Minutes Hours Days Years Power On Time 1491008 24850 1035 2.84 Operating Time 50512 842 35 0.1 Cutting Time 102530 1709 71 0.19 TMRON on Time 12328 205 9 0.02 Cycle Time 325879 5431 226 0.62 |

| I think what you are looking at is parameters or variable storage #, the fact they are all 4 digits and the screen says PARAMETER. AFAIK there is no parameter for actual total run time since original power up. And they are all sequential.! Al.

| Isn't the "1708 Hours, 50 Minutes" the total run time? |

That is just the total process time for that cycle run with the per cycle time included. It depends on when it was reset. I think the issues is with the numbers below it. Al.

| Call Fanuc and give them the control type and the type of machine and ask them where to look for, or ask for, the machine hour meter location. Fanuc has, on at least some machines that I know of, a "secret" hour meter. Not really secret but you would probably never find it without help. And thus people will not "play" with it..... |

I also thought the same thing, did you happen to slide the picture over? The photo shows the rest of the data on the screen.

| Thanks Guys Would you guys buy a machine with this many hours on it? Power on 24850 hrs and 5431 cutting hrs. Its a 2002 What kind of parts would show wear? What's it worth? 12000rpm, 30hp, 1000 psi coolant, Tsudakoma 8 Inch 4th axis and 1600ipm rapids. |

| I can't say on this particular Mori, but our old Mori lathes (1980's) probably had at least that amount of time on them and they held tenth's all day every day. Strong, reliable and always accurate.
