MV junior problems

I have an MV junior for about 3 years now that i bought used
at first it worked flawless then the first trouble stated by getting an
limited torque signal off alarm (error code 46)
it only happened when i had an M00 in the program
i got around it by using an M03 before the M00
that would disengage the spindle lock pin and every thing worked fine

that fix worked for about one year
now suddenly a get a new alarm
spindle stop signal off (error code 46)
this is a lot more problems then the first one
the symptoms are
when i turn the machine on the first time on the day it all works fine for about
5 min then the spindle load meter starts acting up jumping to 30% without load
when i press reset now , what usually stops everything , the spindle keeps on running
the only way to stop the spindle from turning is by cutting the machine power
from then on the machine is useless for the rest of the day
by the way by this time the spindle control unit shows an over voltage alarm
my spindle control is a yaskawa CIMR-MTII 5.5K

i had the local repair guy in and he is convinced the spindle drive controller is shut
anybody out there that had the same problems?
or somebody that replaced the spindle drive and has some idea on the price
or are they some retro fits

any help would be greatly appreciated

There's a pretty simple procedure in the maintenance manual for operating the ATC manually. It's been too many years since I've done it to remember.

Call your local distributor or the Mori Tech Center in Chicago, LA, or Texas.

Be very careful though, some of the MJ-Jrs had a piston that extends from the ATC housing to the unclamp cylinder on the spindle head. If that thing is extended, DO NOT MOVE YOUR Z-AXIS.
