Mori MV-35/40, 1985

We have a Mori MV-35/40 that the spindle, brake or motor seized up on a couple weeks ago and the owner wants it gone.....

How or were does a guy get rid of this thing????

The machine has been used fairly constantly, they just do not want to put any more money into it. A tech hasn't looked at it since the spindle issue.

Any help would be great.

The shop is located in the Portland Oregon area.

I found out a tech did look at it and confirmed it was the spindle. We recieved a verbal cost to repair wich the shop is choosing to not do..

You have 2 choices really. A for free ad or super low price on Craigs list, or call your local rigger and see if he will come get it for scrap.

What underthetire said. Craigslist it. Call local riggers. There is always somebody who will want a freebie. Especially if that is all that is wrong with it.

Well, after some more discussions, they are wanting to get some money out of this machine......I have done some looking around and although there isn't much made for these machines anymore, there is still plenty being used.
I see there is a Cali guy who has alot of used parts on e-bay so a quick e-mail to him is in order.....

If it has the Fanuc 11M control and you have the the instruction manaul on the ATC I have a client that might be interested in the manuals. Also need ladder diagram manual.
