Looking at buying a MV 35/40

I am looking at buying a 1986 Mori Seiki MV 35/40 from a local shop. Machine has a Fanuc 11m control and a 10k rpm belt drive spindle. Machine has 32k on time and 14k run time. Is this a lot? What should I look out for? Only problem is it blows fuses every once in a while. Machine only gets ran a few times a year. Spindle and ballscrews sound good. Did not check backlash though. Value?

used to work with a couple mv40's with 8000 rpm spindles , great machines , the only true issue aside from years of wear and tear was that they along with another few other machines didn't like the dead heat of summer , we needed to open the control panel doors and point fans towards the panels ,
pretty hard to beat mori's for reliability and the mv's were solid machines

The machine and the control are definite winners in my book. You have to use your judgement as to condition and whether or not it's been abused or neglected, but I would think from the pictures it's a machine that I'd jump on right away.

I had a MV-45 in my old shop, with a 6M Fanuc. Was a great machine. I'd grab it.

I decided to buy it. I had it delivered to my shop today. I should be able to get it leveled and powered up this weekend.
