    Mori MV-JR, toochanger problem- solenoid

MV-JR, Yasnac MX2 control, 1986, cam driven tool changer.

The manual tool change and carousel solenoid/valves seem to be going bad/sticking/or dirty filters. After a manual tool change, the tool change/clamp solenoid will sometimes take a minute or way more to close, causing an ATC not complete error. Can someone explain how the air/oil solenoid circuit works, and if they can be cleaned/repaired? Or do you just replace them when bad. They are air operated, but I don't quite understand the hydraulic side. When replacing how do you bleed the oil side?

Also related, perhaps? The carousel at start-up overtravels the stop position. Once warmed up, it is fine. It appears that a solenoid fires when the carosel is supposed to stop, halting the rotation, but maybe if the solenoid is too slow, the carousel over-travels? Is this right, or am I completely off the mark here? BE nice to have some basic theory, while studying the manuals again.

i have exactly the same machine
had the same problem too just remove the solenoid clean it out really nice (don't lose any springs )
usually happens to my machine after i haven't used it for some time

but as much as i gather there is no oil anywhere except the one from the oil injector which is very little and only works as lubrication

This is incorrect. Claya sent you a pm. The unclamp cylinder on cam style atcs all have hydraulic fluid in them. That supposed to be a closed loop system that will need to be bled if opened. The oiler in the back is just to keep things moving.
