Unhappy Boring Bar Holder for SL-4 turret.

I've Googled til' I'm blue in the face...

Does anyone, anywhere know where I can purchase a T-13009 boring bar holder for an ancient Mori-Seiki SL-4? This is a cast holder with setscrews in the side and a 1 3/4" bore. One of our machinists had a boo-boo (of course no one knows what happened, as usual) and I need to replace my back-up holder. I've been here over 30 years and have never had to replace one. Just happened to find a backup stored in a cavity under the machine! I need one in case those invisible gremlins return.

I have been working on a design for this very holder. Plus I will offer them in different sized bores so you don't have to bush down from 1-1/2 or 1-1/4.

The old green Mori's never die, they just keep going and going.

Any interest? I have made the drawings only so far. But with work being slow I might have the time to machine it into reality. It's a killer design. Very rigid, no welds or foolishness.

    Johnny,

Yes I am interested. The bore needs to be 1.75" because all of our tooling for these machines are in permanent bushings.

Our Tool & Die Dept. could fabricate one for me, but they are backed up repairing our mold tooling. Send me a quote. I'll be more than happy to look it over.

Contact parts@ellisontechnologies.com with part number T13009A03. It appears as though they have 6 in stock in Dallas.
The description is "Tool Holder (Drill) / SL-4B 1

try MD tooling or WTO. They might carry them and if they do they'll be 50% lower than the mori holder
