300 baud is the fastest thing I have ever been able to cram though that
set up. Luckily most programs for CNC lathes are rather short in length

If you just hooked up that machine, make sure the transformer taps are
correctly set, if not you could be looking at $$$ repairs many times more than
that machine is worth in a very short time

Most of that vintage did not come with a communication option. A lot
of people added after market boards for those 2000g models. Hard to
make a call on yours until you know what you have

Looks like your good to go, You will have to make up a cable because
for some reason, Yasnac back then got the pin configuration flipped
on the 25 pin plug, I would have to look up the correct connection

Info for 2000GII set up com board Gi-F02

Pin config machine end, You have to construct a custom cable on the machine end

14 Grd
15 Transmit
16 Receive

19 Frame ground

Jump 17 & 18

Parameter setting for 300 baud

N59
X 3
Z 54734
I 0
K 0

N80 1
N82 1 Ascii 0 for EIA, Most use Ascii
N85 0

Suggest you get a rs 232 tester from radio shack and check on the computer end
to verify if you have TD & RD working

If things are working, Buffer light will flash on punch out

If not connected right, machine will alarm upon tape in

Set your computer end 300 Baud 7,E,2 or 7,E,1
