can I initiate a drip feed dnc with a macro from the controller?

I am trying to figure out if I can initiate a dnc program from the controller to drip feed from pc\dnc software. I would like to identify the program from a macro in the machine.
Any help would be appreciated.
I would also like to set up a bar code reader to my controller, is this possible?

Not really sure what you're trying to do?
I recall reading somewhere (in a Fanuc manual I think) that DNC of a macro is not possible.
To do a DNC you have to be in TAPE mode but you cant call a macro from TAPE mode either
You also cant run a program in memory and make it switch to DNC mode

There are several ways of dealing with the barcode problem
You can buy a system from someone like memex cimco or predator to dive a DNC system.
Or you can write something to push the info into macro memory over FOCAS.
I have being meaning to give g300 sieries codes a go to try and start DNC comms, full details are in the macro compiler manual.
I also ned to try to push a program onto the data server and run that.

Not that I know of. Had the same problem, ended up loading the program on memory expansion card (PCMCIA) then calling from the main as a sub.
