nz/nl boring bar holder

i have a quandry,
the largest boring bar holder i can find is 1.25
im trying to run a 1.5 drill and most are 1.5 shank

i used to have a 1.5 dft drill fix with a 1.25 shank
but the thing screamed all the way down the hole and was eating into the tool holder

im trying to find a 1.5 bb holder for my 20 station nl but im coming up dry

or im thinking of boring the 1.25 holder out to acomidate my new drill, the holder is already trashed from the drill vibrating and egging the pocket

boring bar holders are available from Mori Seiki up to 50mm (2")
There are numerous tool manufacturers that supply similar tool holders to fit Mori's and most other machine makes.
For example WTO
http://www.wto.de/Download/Newslette...%202050_en.pdf
nl 20 station turret is covered on pages 12-15
they have a US branch
Home - WTO Werkzeug-Einrichtungen GmbH

you may also be able to find them on ebay or via google

50mm/2" is listed in the pdf I linked but I overlooked the 20 station list. looks like 1 1/2" is the maximum for the 20 station.

Combination holder
Ø 40 48-77999
Ø 1 1/2" 48-80016

This might be better for you....

Boring bar holder, blank
48-80506

I'm sure they could custom make a larger holder if you are willing to forfeit a tool either side for clearance.

or make one yourself from a solid piece of metal.... you have the machine to do the job already
or modify an existing holder.
or find another manufacturer. WTO is not the only company doing tool holders for CNC machine tools.
