I have a SL8 that will not zero return in Z. I have checked the switch for voltage and have 13.7 volts on the omron switch. When I first started having the problem I cleaned it and checked the wires and it worked fine all day. This morning when my operator turned the machine on it would not zero out. Anyone have any ideas? There are not any chips or broke wires on any of the 3 switches. |

| What control? Those Omron sensors are known for going bad, sometimes if you clean the chips off them they work. Also sometimes you can adjust the cam closer if they get a bit weak. Another test, if Yasnac, you may get lucky and find the bit on the DGN page to see if its functioning. There also is a final reference pulse in the axis encoder that sometimes needs to be adjusted by a tech. If older Yasnac, I may be able to find the DGN bit location you can check
