Heya folks; I am looking for a hand making a macro for my lathe to catch bar ends. The lathe is a Mori Seiki NL2500Y with a MSX850III controller, and the barfeeder is a LNS Quick Load Servo (built in '97; no # designation). Barfeeder S/N is 150060-97. Currently, I am not running a top-cut program on this particular machine as it is only a single-spindle. Thanks in advance. |

| are you trying to catch it with the parts catcher or grab it with the sub. are you feeding to a stop or pulling the bar i used to drop my remnanats, now just leave the last part on the bar after it cost me 1200 bucks for a new window because the bar was cut 1/4 inch long if you just want to get the remnant in the catcher you can slide the catcher closer to the main and reset the b position for your parts ejector cycle. to get the catche up throw an m73 before your m482 in your bar change program |

| This particular machine does not have a sub; just a tailstock. I am looking for a way to make a macro to communicate with the barfeeder when a new bar is about to be loaded so when it is, I can have the catcher come up and grab it without programming an M73 for every bar push. |

| the way mine is setup is with two separate subs, one for push and one for change, my end of bar signal is /2 and at the head of my program i use a /2 7002 (bar change) to change out bars. ill grab my sub programs when i go in later |
