When the company I used to work for went belly up, I made sure I was the one who wound up with the "bar machine" as they used to refer to it. It's a 1986 Mori Seiki SL3-H CNC lathe with an LNS Hydrobar bar feed unit. CNC is Fanuc System 11T-A. I took this machine out of the box brand new in 1986 and was the sole operator/programmer of it. It has NEVER been crashed and still holds tenths! There was NO WAY I was going to let this machine out of my sight! Now it's making money for me! I couldn't be happier! Long Live Mori! |

| And it will keep running. Just make sure you blow out the motors with air once in a while, and keep all the cabinet fans working and clean/ replace the filters. There are a couple hidden ones on that machine. The hydraulic pumps on those are now getting $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Make sure you service that as well. Good luck! |
