Need Help!- sub spindle interlock

i have a 2008 mori nl 2000sy,

the part i am currently doing i am trying to leave the partoff as the finished face.

very small part, only.309dx.155L part actually gets completely swallowed by the pickoff collet.

problem:
in order to move the subspindle the machine has to be at x-y home(g28)
if i rapid out it leaves a swirl, if i feed out it gauls.
what i would like to do is pull off in b then i can do whatever i wish for retract.

this is something i do all the time with my swiss machine and it works beautifuly

has anybody done the parameter mod to disable the interlock,

What is the exact alarm you are getting?
Usually the interlocks come from the PLC. Maybe there is a Bit Select that can be changed to disable the interlock.

the machine doesnt alarm out, just freezes
any way we got the answer today it was a plc parameter adjust
had to come all the way from japan

works flawlessly now, just have to be a little more careful with the sub
