Is one of your machines a -X machine and the other a +x? It was very common for us to switch X axis direction on very early machines depending on customers wants. Zero the axis and move it down. I'll bet one counts -x the other +x
We have recently purchased a used SL5H with a fanuc 10t controller and can not get it to run properly. We have a SL25 with a fanuc 6t controller, so I am used to it. The problem is when we touch off the od of a 1 inch piece of material and type in 1.0 then hit measure the offset in the geo page is a plus number. Is this correct? Then, after pushing start and trying to run a part. The tool starts approxiametly .5 in. too low. Should start at 1.25 to face and it is at about .75 dia. Then the darn thing faces upward, which it should be going down to about X-.0625. Hope this is enough info. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or what other issue may be wrong.
Thanks,
Troy

So, then your program would be in reverse in x? Rather than facing down to -.0625 would the line be g1 x0.0. How do you set the tool off of the od? enter a -1.0 in while touching a 1 in dia. bar?
