lefthand tapping

Does any one know how to lefthand tap with a live tool using M329 tapping cycle, on a Mori Seiki SL400 with MSC501 18I controller? It will work with a right hand tap but can't get the spindle to turn in reverse for a lefthand tap.

you should be able to change the spindle direction M-Code you just switch M13 to M14 you might be able to do it in the tool file as well

Thank you for both of the suggestions, Unfortunately they did not work, our machine (SL400 lathe) does not support the G84.1, just G84.The program manual says to set the live tool as an O.D. cutting tool in the rotary tool file instead of a live face tool and this will reverse the spindle, but we cannot get the live tool arm to ingage with it set as a O.D. tool.
