What kinds of parts are you looking to machine? Currently I'm running a Mori ZT1500.
We're looking for a new mill turn machine to replace a boat anchor in our shop.
Does anyone have any experience running the NT4200 series machines?
Any ideas of what I should ask of the distributor while I'm kicking the tires?
All comments are greatly appreciated.

The NT live tooling KICKS BUT! That new built in motor design is soo much smoother and faster. I have seen huge surface finish improvements on the NT1500SMC. The only downside i can say is how wide the turret is. It can make sub spindle work a little tight sometimes.
We make everything from latches to video gimbal systems.
We were trying to run the Okuma Multus B300W, with LNS Servo 3 Bar feed, Cooljet 1000psi through spindle.
Everything works except the Multus. We were able to establish the process, then machine began to fall apart.
We are barfeeding Aluminum from 1" up to 2.75" OD. Milling parts on the end of the bar then parting off, finishing in Sub spindle. Most of the parts were made in our Horz (MA400HA) Horizontal problem was after running through all the fixtures it sits until I or someone goes to reload. We are trying to run lights out without having to reload fixtures.
Some of the parts are cut from 6" Aluminum rod, and manually reloaded, but each part takes over 2hrs each. And volume is very low (5pcs per run).
Buy it, buy it, buy it. Hope your Multus has gotten better. I love the NT. With the option Mori now offers, from the builder, Okuma can not keep up with all the Thinc stuff the dealers brag about. Most dealers cannot truly support the Thinc side with VB or Access. Mori offers all the things Okuma bragged about as standard options. The new MAPPS has a HUGE screen with ESPRIT. I loved how Okuma Thinc owners loved the vertical programable keys, Mori even slammed them on that with 30 programmable keys.
Okuma and their partners in thinc, Mori has even more builders that can be added on their machine.
Yeah, bought it. NT4250/1500SZ
Installation is taking place this week. I'm off to vegas with the wife for a few days. Start training when I get back. As I play with the new control I'm lovin' it!
The size of it's frame is unbelievable. It's like two 10" lathes combined with a 400mm 5 axis horizontal mill. Next week we start applications. We already have proven g-code files ready to run-off. Also waiting for new Schunk chucks for both spindles.

Nice get for sure..
As you are new around these parts you may not know but.. all new installs require complete photo threads!! This aids with bragging rights and general looking down on fellow zoners

That's a really cool machine. It has certain advantages over the ZT and disadvantages as well. You're able to swing the head in the NT series from what I've seen but cannot work two spindles simultaneously as in the ZT series. All-in-all, I think you've got a very nice machine and will be able to quote jobs that would have been quoted much higher if you had to utilize two CNC machines over the one. Good luck!
