Door won't close

I have a mori seiki vertical 5100 and when you put it in mdi mode and enter M83 the door will not close. Even the program will not run cause the door will not move. You can put in manual door open and close and it will work. Any ideas on how to fix this problem??

Ive never seen auto door on a 5100. Did this used to work?

Yes has worked for years

Is that a pneumatic or electric door? I know the older M3000 used air cylinders, they would leak internally and had to have the Orings changed, or once in a while the prox switches on the air cylinders would fail. I have 5100 parts books at work I can look at if you don't know.

Pneumatic door if air to machine is off door cam be moved by hand

Then remove air lines and see if the air switches lines when you command open/closed. If it does not, probably a bad prox on the air cylinder or door.
