    Default Mori MV-40B Zero Return Error on Tool Change Command

    I am trying to perform a tool change by running T3; M6; and I get a PMC error 104 that the Y & Z are not at the zero positions. Both Y and Z have been Zero'd and the LEDs on the controller indicate they are at Zero. The ATC also indicateds its at the home position.

    If i go into ATC manual mode, I can get the pot to go up and down but it will not move the arm, the arm forward position led is already illuminated.

    Any clues?

    This is a Fanuc 10m controlled unit.

    Tool change positions are not always at machine zero, machine zero meaning the actual home positions for the axis's.
    The lit leds are saying it is at the zero set home position. Tool change zero position is machine tool builder defined.
    To call the machine zero home position you use this. G91G28Z0;
    And if the proper tool change home positions are still set correctly you would call them by this. G91G30Z0; And since I don't have a manual on fanuc I can't explain how to make this
    automatic for you if it works. Its been awhile since I have fooled with that part of cnc machines. The G30 is telling it to go to the 2nd Home position that can be user defined.

    G28 is normal for the Mori. G30 is used only on pallet changer machines typically.
