A couple quick questions on the tailstock for a Mori SL1....
How much travel should I expect to see from what we'll call the quill? I'm only seeing about 2.5-3". If it's supposed to be more, how do I adjust the travel distance?
What is the knurled knob at the back of the tailstock for?
Ok so the tailstock on the Mori SL1 is not for machining operations. It's only there to hold parts so it does only come out about 2-3". It doesn't nee to be longer.
The knob on the back side is to set how far the quill stays out when it's retracted. I assume so if you're making lots of the same parts you don't need to wait for the quill to come all the way out.
