So my question is, I am doing a face grooving operation and did the programming via ESPRIT2016. I had it using a G74 Canned Cycle and it wouldn't read it correctly and instead of taking the necessary .018 peck it was attempting full depth. I went back and turned the canned cycle option off and left the tool path alone and it is running fine. could this be an instance where the technology is more advance than the controller? (Fanuc 16-TT) or what could be the issue here?
The canned cycle looked like this....
