    Default SL-6A I/O 030 CHECK SUM ERROR

    I have a SL-6A with fanuc 11T control, and we started getting this alarm. The book does'nt tell how to go about to fix it or what is the cause. Need a little hepl please

    The manual says 'The checksum in the page unit of the NC memory is in error'

    so that means you have a PCB fault. Possibly it's as simple as a bad RAM, or more complicated and one of the circuit boards needs to be replaced. Or maybe some data got scrambled in memory and a memory clear will fix it.

    you could try clearing the memory and reloading parameters etc and that might fix it. if you don't have a backup of the parameters and you clear the memory your machine will only be good for a boat anchor.
