The thread size for the R2400 and R2401 are the same. I measured the threads on my R2401. The size is 14 x 1 mm. ; right hand thread. It is an odd size; but the thread dies do exist. ( Google metric die 14 x 1)
Good luck on your repairs.

I just rebuilt my router after a premature bearing failure. In the process, I messed up the threads on the shaft. Anyone know what the thread pitch is so I can use a die to clean up the threads?
It is also the same thread as the Bosch Colt I believe.

Thanks. I'll get one ordered.
For those wondering, my router died (I think) because the inner shield on the output bearing came loose allowing the bearing to ingest carbon fiber dust and aluminum. It started making odd noises then stopped, spinning in the housing. I ordered a replacement bearing and housing from ereplacementparts.com and $14.00 later, it was back to running smooth. I had already ordered a replacement R2400 to keep working in case the fix didn't work so this is now my spare.
Thanks Gene. That was exactly correct. Got the threading die in today and I now have 2 working routers.
