    Momus completed in Tulsa

I have completed my Momus several months ago and recently found this forum here at the "zone.". I put a Hobby CNC controller in her and use the mid grade steppers Dave sells for X & Y and the 425oz for Z. Here is the link for the board. HobbyCNC EZ Driver Board Kit | HobbyCNC
It is very easy to assemble with a quality soldering station. I use Mach 3 for control with the blue screen mod to utilize a z heigth touch plate and work piece edge finder to set 0,0 x&y. I have recently added an X Box controller to move the carriage around, which can be configured for natural movement with the joystick verses the unnatural arrows on the keyboard. I am using a USB cabled version which has about a 9 foot cable. The only "gotcha" I ran into was that my cover was too short for the larger stepper I used for my Z axis.

So lets see some pics. I'd also like more info on the touch plate.
