I found this site while searching for mold making. I was looking at the $1495 home injection molder, but the maximum mold size is just a little too small for me. I believe the part I want is 3" w x 3 3/4" l x 3/4" h. I'm looking for a low-cost alternative to making a mold for injection molding or some place I could get it done cheaper. The item I want to make is already on the market, but is no longer produced for many years now. Maybe since the 1990's and a small run somebody made in the 2000's sometime. The most expensive part of injection molding is getting the mold made. Does anyone have any resources or places I can inquire? I don't really have the skills necessary to make the mold on my own. I will make my money back eventually, but I don't have thousands of dollars to shell out in advance for a mold. |

| it's a small product. if the part is simple it will not talke too much money. We are from China, we can help to making mold or injection molding with low cost. Can you send us your files ? Price can be provided for your informaiton after it. Yes, the mold will take you some money at the beginning of the project, however the mold will be made with 40-40-20. |

| Thanks for the replies, guys. I have replied to everyone with pictures of the part I am trying to make. I can have someone draw it in CAD if needed, but do not currently have it done. If I get this mold done, I'd probably be interested in doing the pieces in a few colors.. possibly clear, possible glow in the dark (depends on price), possibly just plain colors like black. |

I have some spare time and materials laying around here. I might take it on (depending on the complexity) provided I could make up the tooling cost over time on the production. Send me your picture.
