    Renshape Tooling Board

    Hi,

I have a small composite mold to be machined out of Reshape 5272. Is anybody familiar with this product? Is it abrasive on tooling? Should I be using coolant?

    Thanks
    Jeremy

We machine alot of Ren 440 and 5169 but have not heard of 5272. Can you check with your local distributor for recommendations?

I used to machine lots of Renboard, both epoxy and poylurethane. It is abrasive and no, do not use coolant. Creates lots of dust so you will need a good shop vac at minimum, a dust extraction setup is better.
