i recently discovered(to my surprise) that one of my creation had sparked interest and is (from what I've been told )quite marketable. now my question is.. does anyone have any experience with contracting out plastic parts ? and if so what would be the recommended path all the parts were drawn in rhino and the tool path was created from sheet-cam(2.5D) so none of the parts are technically exhaustive and the biggest part is known to be 6 inches high,15 inches long and .125 thick. BTW. i live in Oshawa Ontario Canada i apologize if this post is in the wrong forum

| There are TONS of mold makers -- Canada, US, China -- who will take your files and give you estimates. Check out http://www.thomasnet.com/ or Google "injection mold" and you will have all kinds of options. Quotes are done for free -- so you can shop around. |

| The molding houses here in the states are very proud of their toolmaking and storage facilities, and are not afraid to show you just how proud they are by nickle and diming you to near financial ruin. The folks in China and particularly Tiawan will mold a minimum quantity (usually around 5000) with per piece prices that stateside molders can't make the tool for. They will also make equivalent quality from the same exact resins. I have yet to persue the overseas options, and I likely never will, but the pricing and lack of hassle are attractive enough to make one understand how they have become the number one manufacturer on the planet, leaving North America in the dust. Just a thought. Scott
