Keep the parting line normal. (due to the rib and boss on opposite end away from the angled cored area). Use a floating cavity plate with a core for the angular area. Mount the core with gibs in the support plate to allow it to move sideways as the plates separate. This is installed like an up and out, except it will be functioning opposite, down and out.

This is a really rough sketch of how the core works. You will need one on the "hot" side also. This is not the least expensive way to go. If you are looking for small quantities, hand loads would probably be better. |

Wonder if this thread's still hot :-? I'm so new of a member and just stumbled across this thread. Hope that my post is not 2 late. Both die locks are in both core and cav, you could load the handload for the core side, but how r u gonna prevent the cav handload from crashing into the core handload when mold closes. So, it does not matter whether this mold is a prototype or not, you still need some kind of automation to slide either the cav or core handload to position when mold closes. So, what I can suggest is: *For prototype --> 3 plate mold which retracts and advances cav handload (slide) in/out by the first A plate. *For production --> 3 plate with 2 stage ejection. Cavity assembly is same as above, plus actuates the slide for side groove at part's end when 2nd A plate (parting line) opens. Core plate needs to float up to activate the core hanload (now a slide on with tied to bottom clamp plate), once clear part can be ejected. Sound simple enough? Well saying always is ![]() thanhct, hope you've figured this out by now!

HI Thanhct just post the part here and wait a few days. I will design a mold for u dear. Its not a big problem. But what software u r using for design and for CAM. Im using Pro/Engnieer Wildfire2. U can learn a lot on design at www.mcadcentral.com

Separate the end of the male part of the mold where the angaled area is and make that part of the mold to rotate in a restricted angle movement attachet to the male part so when the mold closes the female part is pushing it the rotating section towards the male. IT WILL NOT WORK IF THERE ARE MORE THEN 1 NESTS IN THE MOLD WHITOUT HOT RUNERS. If you send my file of the part I can help you with design. karamitrov1@yahoo.com
