    Removing bellmouth condition

    Hey guys,

I'm an injection molder in SW PA.
I currently have a few molds that are starting to form a bellmouth condition around the ejector pins.

I was wondering what I'd need to do to fix this.

Let's say I use a pin that is .1550, which is the one forming the bellmouth.

Now, if I get a pin that is .0005 oversize, do I get a reamer that is .1555? or what size bigger does the hole need to be than the pin?

    thanks.

    Cool

    Mitchell,
Standard oversize ejector pins and reamers are available from DME
    Normal oversize pins are +0.005"
If your current size is 5/32 (0.156) you can get 0.161 pin.
Its all depends on how big is your bellmouth.
PM me if you have any concerns
