New High Speed Mill Selection

We are in the process of purchasing a High Speed Graphite Milling Machine.
We have our selection narrowed down to Makino V22, Roku Roku HC548EX, and Mikron HSM 500.
My question is, has anyone had any experiences, good or bad with any of these machines/manufactures?
Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

We have a Mikron, not bad machine. Mori also makes the nvd with the graphite package. We do have to wait sometimes for parts on the micron. The heidenhein has been ok, just takes some getting used to. The guys that run them all still prefer the mori mapps/ fanuc control.

I have operated a high speed Makino MC for a while to make GR electrodes and I think it would be a good buy.

cheers

I would go with a machine with a Heidenhain control. I had a machine with a TNC530i will give you a good surface finish. It has one of the best look a head high speed software.

Hurco in the UK offer a Graphite machine.

Buy me a Beer?

I have a Roku Roku HC548EX 32,000 rpm. It is absolutely the most stable, repetitive machine I have ever run. Had it for 5 years now, and never had a single problem. It needs very little maintenance, and has a laser toolsetter which is great when cutting electrodes. If you have any questions about it, feel free to contact me.

We have a 2008 MakinoE33 40,000 RPM with a dust Vaccum system. It works wonderfully for Graphite. The Pro 5 control is as nice a control to work with as any I have ever seen.
