    Tool carousel problems

My Yang cnc mill's carousel will just go around and around at a tool call.

Does the machine have a Mits control?

Tool changes and carousel operations are done thru the PLC and
    its ladder.

Are you getting an alarm on the control? If so what does it say

A likely cause is that there's probably some type of sensor that
reads from the tool carousel and if operationg normally would send a signal to
the PLC that it found the selected tool station. If the sensor is bad, or there
are other problems with the ATC, the machine would behave as you described.

How did you do the tool change?

Yes it has a MIt control. But I just got it running again and I only need one tool to do the job I'm on. I'm not going to mess with the tool change issue until I finish this job.
A couple of days. I'll post more then. Thanks for the interest.
