    Talking Stepper Selection?

Ok, I'm about to convert a Sherline lathe. After years of the Xylotex on my mill, I know I don't want another of those, so I'm looking at a pair of Gecko 251's, Keling's 48v, 7.3A power supply, and ...which steppers? The dual-shaft, 282 oz/in KL23H276-30-8B? Can I go bigger?

Come on, CR, suggest something. I followed your list once already, with a G540 on a Solsylva router...

That motor is a good voltage match but the Amperage requirement for Bipolar parallel will detune it to 235 oz/in.
That's still 100 more than Sherline use in THEIR CNC lathes at 24 volts.
The 381 motors are near perfect matches for the drives but overkill is overkill.

Thank you very much, Hoss. I followed your advice and went with the near-perfect match.
