Ignore the spanner nuts (although some have complained about it being threaded crooked), they're only for pre-loading the bearings. The only thing that matters for a chuck is that the face of the spindle is flat and that the small register/spigot (the part that sticks out) is concentric. Those two surfaces are what the chuck mates with. And of course the MT3 taper should be concentric as well.
