I'm planning the conversion of my 7"x14" to cnc. I've got many different ideas on how to go about doing this, but my current design involves using linear slides and ballscrews.

My main question right now is: Do you think that a 10mm diameter ballscrew (supported with bearing blocks at both ends) would be strong enough to use for the Z axis if it was running on linear slides?
